Kathryn King the founder of Dragonfly Textiles, completed a BA in Textile Design at Southampton University's Winchester School Of Art in 2009.
In November 2010 Katy opened her studio in Javea in south-eastern Spain where the stunning mediterranean landscape helped to inspire her work which is now being created in her new studio in Sidmouth Devon. She applies her photography and artwork to hand crafted articles of clothing, interior furnishings, fashion accessories and other textiles using methods of hand weaving, hand dying and hand painting.
Fluidity and dispersion of colour are particular characteristics of her work.
